Indoor Location Guide

As you can tell from my website, I love shooting outdoors in beautiful natural light (typically evening light) because that is my brand and vibe hunny! But indoor sessions in spaces that scream ‘magazine cover’ are a close second. Indoor locations that are well-lit and aesthetically pleasing make for the most amazing images. For images with the same vibe as the photos you see on my website, it is suggested that you ditch the photo backdrops and stark walls and pick locations that have more of a real-life feel. Here are some other things to consider for the most drool-worthy interior photos possible:

  • For perfect natural lighting, shoot during the mid-late afternoon.

  • The best light for my vibe is natural light, so the more windows the better, dahling.

  • In the event there is not enough natural light, we will use studio lighting. Studio lighting has a different feel and vibe, but if the room is horribly lit, then it’ll have to do!

Securing an indoor space

When booking a branding session with me, your base rate does not cover any additional indoor locations or spaces that may require their own payment, reservation, etc. (unless it has been included in your custom package).

For indoor spaces that require a paid reservation, you will need to make that reservation on your own. Please consult with me FIRST before you reserve a location so that I can confirm it will work with my photography style. Please DO NOT book locations that appear to have no windows…ever.

INdoor space recommendations

local coffee shops

Coffee shops are great for cool images that showcase how you work on the go, meet with a client, or even just hang, ya know, with a cup of coffee. Most coffee shops don’t mind indoor photography, but always be sure to get permission from the manager first. These are some of my favorite coffee shops

Your Home or office

If your home or office is well-lit and aesthetically pleasing, that can also be an option as well (depending on how near or far you live from the city center). If you think your home or office might make a fabulous backdrop to your brand, shoot me some photos in your favorite well-lit rooms taken during daylight hours for a second opinion!
