Meet Lauren Siso | Esthetician, Ellemes Med Spa | Atlanta Women Entrepreneurs
Lauren is the esthetician everyone needs in their life. While I snapped these shots of her and her friends turned models for the day in her amazing spa Ellemes Med Spa, WAP by Cardi B/Megan may or may not have been playing on repeat over the speaker. I mean, it was her day off! Her friends would describe her as kind, honest and goofy and after 4 hours of laughing and hanging with her, I would agree. She’s the best and I can’t wait for you to meet her as this weeks featured boss in my ‘Self Made Magic’ series.

Where are you from originally?: Charleston, SC
What’s one thing the average person wouldn’t know about you?: Most of who I follow on Instagram are french bulldog accounts LOL. I am a french bulldog FANATIC.
What made you want to become Esthetician: I've wanted to become an esthetician ever since I worked as a receptionist at a small spa in Charleston! I loved learning about skin from one of their estheticians and fell in love with the career!
What did you do to prepare for your branding photo session with me?: We viewed several Instagram accounts to get some inspiration, and were able to purchase some props to help with the session!
Were you nervous? If so, at what point were you able to overcome those nerves?: I typically don't like being in front of the camera but Kelley made the process very easy and straightforward!
How do you build/maintain your confidence?: I don't try to be anything other than myself. I surround myself with supporting and accepting people which helps me remain positive no matter what life throws at me.
Describe your personal style:: My style always seems to be changing as I age, but currently I love a very clean and modern style.
What countries have you traveled to? Where would you like to travel?: I love to travel! I am so very grateful to have been able to travel to many different countries, but my all time favorite was when my husband and I traveled to the islands of Tahiti, to include Mo'orea and Bora Bora! Guys, the pictures just don't do it justice. The water and the beaches were absolutely STUNNING and I'd love to be able to go back some day!
What’s one accomplishment that you’re super proud of?: Taking the leap of faith to become a business owner! I opened my own med spa (Ellemes Medical Spa) in Atlanta in October 2019 after working for over 10 years at different practices across the
country. While the first year of ownership has definitely had some unexpected challenges, I am so happy to have made the transition into small business ownership and I can't wait to see what the future holds!
Where do you see yourself this time next year?: I'd love to continue building my business and my brand to the point where I can eventually add additional estheticians and staff in the Atlanta area to the team!
What are three words your friends would use to describe you?: Kind, Honest, Goofy :)
What’s keeping you busy these days?: We are in the process of renovating and remodeling the spa to give it a nice fresh modern update! Stay tuned for the before and afters! :)
Any advice for an up and coming self-made boss?: Owning a small business comes with a fairly large learning curve. Learning about business licensing, taxes, accounting, and finance was a lot more complicated than I had initially anticipated. Reaching
out to friends and family who are knowledgeable in these areas saved me hours upon hours of time and stress. Don't try and do everything yourself or you will get burned out quick! There is nothing wrong with asking for help, and more times than not your friends and family are always happy to lend a helping hand!
