Last summer the universe aligned and brought Ashley, Jocelyn and I together via a message I put out on facebook needing couples of all kinds to models for some personal work I was doing for my portfolio. When I first met them I knew we would be instant friends. Although they had just gotten engaged and so our 'portfolio shoot' actually turned into their official engagement session, i was so honored to also be asked to be their wedding photographer. Shooting weddings for people that you've built a relationship with is, mmm not really a word for it. Amaze? Idk. But I love it. I get to laugh with them. And cry with them. And I get to not only capture the details but take part in the celebration at the same time. The love and support that surrounded these two on their special day was overwhelming. Beautiful. Uplifting. Warm and fuzzy. Good. Like wrapped in a blanket sipping hot chocolate on a chilly fall afternoon good. Also, yessssss vintage! The curators behind Browned Butter Vintage were not playing around.
Also I'm so thankful for my fiancee, my assistant photographer, for helping me capture all this magic <3
